My mom has been using TOS for her `98 Acura for a number of years now. So, I know the well. TOS just replaced all the defective parts in my `13 Tacoma's air conditioning system, on time, and on budget. I highly recommend TOS for any car repairs. Simply the best!

My experience was good. I had a new engine put in my 1993 Toyota pickup by another company and for some reason it was sluggish and lacked power at takeoff. The smog shop was able to smog it after $1200 of tinkering around but couldn’t figure out why it lacked take off power. TOS figured it out. Evidently fuel air hoses were hooked up incorrectly and the timing was slightly off. So the truck has great take off power now. But I have several questions; why does it still sometimes not want to idle after I’ve driven around for a half hour or so? It seems like after it warms up from driving across town, then I shut off the engine to go to a store, when I start it back up it doesn’t idle at all. But after 3 or 4 stop lights it will start to barely idle again. The smog shop changed the “Coolant Temperature Sensor”. But they said the new one must be faulty because the reading was worse than the old one. The truck still has the new sensor. I asked TOS to check the sensor to see if it is indeed faulty. My questions are “was it checked” and “ could this be why I’m having a problem with idling?” My final question is ; what is the purpose of the hose with the bolt stuck in the tip? I would appreciate a response on these questions ASAP. In conclusion; my overall experience as to the main issue “Lack of takeoff power” has been resolved. When you give it gas it gets up & goes without hesitation. Not wanting to idle after driving a while—still a matter of concern.

Last year I took my truck to this auto shop to have the transmission repaired, they did a good job in getting another transmission and putting it in.

Been having a hesitation/stutter mostly at low speeds. Took my land cruiser here for a diagnostic. They found a lot of things I needed to address which was helpful. But told me there was no sign of hesitation/stuttering or any drivability issues. It was doing it every time I drove it and was pretty obvious. Soon as I drove away it did it. Felt a little frustrated that they may have not test driven it enough. Turned out to be a bad spark plug wires. Felt like for $150 this should have been diagnosed.

I’ve been very happy with all service done on my vehicle at TOS. Gary knows me and my car well and is very thorough in explaining what repairs are needed. I was especially impressed with the headlamp restoration results! They look brand new!

Did a digital diagnostic check on my 2004 Mazda RX-8 it was offered with my oil change. Took longer than quoted. My car checked out mostly to the good and had one critical need. Replace cabin air filter. List price for change and labor $93. Wiper blades $41, rear shocks struts $900. I went elsewhere and quoted $600-700. Outrageous. Nice to wait so long and the back of my car was somehow with things not in its original place. That night my car came up with Check Engine Light. Also, they missed a burned out running light. Was going to get me a quote on the pricing of a replacement. Never happened. I am glad to know what checked out ok and what needs to be done. I can't quite feel good about their high rates and the way they left my car.

Last year I took my truck to this auto shop to have the transmission repaired, they did a good job in getting another transmission and putting it in. But they insisted on doing some other work part of the insurance coverage, so they changed out my head gasket but put my timing belt on wrong and kept having problems trying to set the timing right after that. A year later my engine seized up they couldnt figure out why, my guess is when they put the timing belt on wrong they mess something up in my truck and overtime that finally just broke and my engine seized up. Oh, so I took it back to the shop to get my engine repaired and they charged me $15,000 to put in used engine in my vehicle which I think was way overcharged. They charged me $7,000 for a used engine that I seen online only cost around three or four thousand. That place way over charge me for engine replacement and when I got the truck back I drove at home and the fan belt broke apart because of Polly was set wrong. They towed it back to the shop and fixed it at no cost to me, but now my AC is acting up cuz they probably didn't do something right on that either. I don't recommend these guys that take way too long on repairs and messed things up along the way. They lost parts to my truck my battery Mount was gone inside Fender walls missing and some repairs they said they did they didn't do. It's been a nightmare dealing with these guys , I feel like I was ripped off.

I went to TOS for transmission issues, which are always scary and typically expensive. And the experience I had was amazing. Gary went above and beyond what was expected. He did everything possible to get the issue resolved at the lowest cost. I did have to get a new transmission put it and Gary did everything he could to deal with the warranty company I have for my vehicle. We talked multiple times a week while my car was there and he kept me in the loop for the entire process. I developed a great relationship with Gary and also had multiple conversations with Rick and other employees and all of them were very helpful and made sure I was taken care of. I would give TOS 10 stars if I could. They are remarkable
